Hello, and welcome to the first of many blog entries from us here at Waterski America in Lewisville, Texas! In this blog, you will be able to find industry updates, highlights from our fully equipped Pro-shop, tips on how to make your boat experience the best that it can be, among other great things. As many of you know, the beginning of the New Year brings in an important event for customers and boat dealers alike. That of course, is the Dallas Fort Worth Boat Show! We are both extremely proud and excited to present you with the entire 2018 Malibu and Axis lineup, and most importantly we look forward to meeting new friends and talking with some familiar faces. With all that being said the DFW Boat Show is right around the corner and is approaching faster than ever! So, let’s take a look at just some of what you can expect to see from Waterski America down at Market Hall this year.

Malibu Boats and Axis Wake Research

The Malibu factory has been busy this year, redesigning several new models and coming forward with an all new boat. Once again, Malibu and Axis have utilized industry leading innovation and technology to provide top performance and comfort on the water. 2018 Malibu Boats and Axis Wake Research is shaping up a great year for you boaters.

Re-designed 23 LSV

The 23LSV has been completely redesigned for 2018, which means that the #1 sold towboat across the globe is now better than ever before! With seating for up to 15, it delivers robust wakes and waves for riders of all ages and is available with either the Wake Plus Hull or Diamond Multisport Hull for any crossover enthusiast. This year, Malibu has deepened the hulls design for increased wake creation, storage, smoother rough water rides. They have also added the walk over with landing pad for easier entry without ever stepping on your upholstery, an optional rear-facing WakeView Bench seat, and rear entry drop down seating, plus the standard MaxBallast L-Shaped tank system. If you are a wakeboarder, wakesurfer, Tuber, skier, or just like having a good time on the water, you will love the Malibu Wakesetter 23 LSV. 

All New Boat to the Line Up… The Malibu Wakesetter 21 MLX

Completely new for 2018, the Malibu Wakesetter 21MLX comes with an incredible Malibu value. This well-equipped pickle-fork powerhouse will seat up to 14, making it an ideal towboat for families with surfers and boarders alike. With standard features such as Power Wedge II, the patented Surf Gate, Surf Band, Wake Plus Hull and the Hard Tank Ballast System, it delivers customized wakes and waves for every wakeboarder, skier, or surfer around. The Malibu Wakesetter 21MLX also comes standard with the Viper II Command Center, G3.5 Tower, bimini top, canvas cover, and Malibu Trailer.

Re-designed Axis T22

The all-new 2018 Axis T22 towboat features more style, more performance, and more innovations than ever before. A deeper Hull and streamlined profile deliver crossover versatility for wakesurfing, wakeboarding or skiing. A new sliding skybox seat gives you a front-row view of the action behind the boat, and with seating for 15, the walkthrough maximizes space. It’s loaded with plush upholstery, a swiveling helm armchair, soft grip flooring, Illuminating 3-in-1 gauges, dual dash panels with soft key buttons and Livorsi electronic throttle. The T22 delivers solid wakes and waves that all riders will appreciate with the combination of the Wake Plus Hull and Triple Hard Tank Ballast System. For even more customization and variety, the Power Wedge II hydrofoil with hydraulic actuators is now an available option for all Axis towboats as part of the Performance Surf Package, adding up to 1,500 pounds of additional ballast with the touch of a button. The package also includes Surf Gate and Surf Band for the ultimate automated wake and wave creation. 

Re-designed Axis A24

Finally, newly redesigned for 2018, the A24 is without a question the crown jewel of the Axis line. Highlighted by a new, state-of-the-art hull profile for enhanced performance and fresh, aggressive styling. This 17-seat pickle-fork towboat has generous storage and standard luxury features such as a rear-facing sliding skybox seat, plush upholstery, swiveling helm chair, soft grip flooring, illuminating 3-in-1 gauges, walkthrough design and dual dash panels with soft key buttons. The A24 comes standard with the 6.0 liter monsoon engine, which generates 409 ft-lbs. of torque. On the water, the Livorsi electronic throttle offers precise speed control while the Triple Hard Tank Ballast System generates an incredibly enjoyable, multipurpose wake for a variety of watersports. Power Wedge II is available in the A24 as part of the Axis Performance Surf Package. Just push a button to automatically add up to 1,500 pounds of ballast or customize the size and shape of the wakes and waves for riders of every level.
